Monta Vista XC had a pretty nice weekend…
We began Friday with a visit from Kate Niehaus, a long-time friend of MVXC. Kate came to talk to us a bit about her experiences in running–the lows and the highs, and how running has been part of her life. (Some highlights from Kate’s running career are below.) I got a lot of nice feedback from runners on how what Kate’s talk meant to them. (Special note–Kate is planning to come run a workout with MVXC next month!)
Saturday was a very fast workout out in Stevens Canyon–the weather was beautiful and a perfect temperature and the team was really flying. Coach then jumped on a plan to support some of his running friends at a trail marathon (and run the water stop at Mile 8).
An excellent weekend!
Next weekend…the team is back racing, with a trip to Stockton for the University of the Pacific Tiger Invitational. Check back for a meet sheet in the next couple days!
