I love to race…and it was great to get out and race again at the Silicon Valley Turkey Trot, my first race since being injured most of the summer, first race since Eugene.  It felt great to pin on a bib again!  But then…the Monta Vista distance runners know that racing is great, don’t you?

It was so fun to see so many of you out there running and afterwards!  When I got home and looked at the results I found there were even more runners there that I missed seeing!  Monta Vista showed up in FORCE!  There were some great results–Jenny was 3rd woman in the 10Km and won her age group, Maddie Y also won her age group in the 10Km, and Bridget was the 7th overall woman in the 5Km race!  Lots of MV runners were there (I’m sure I missed some of you).  I see that Naama, Bridget’s brother and mother, I think I saw Kirsten’s little sister Gweneth, Hannah, John Hsiao’s family, Stephen Ting was in the top 100 finishers in the 10Km, Rohan and his father, Namrata and her father, Jonathan Fung, Anindit, Ajay, Norman, Ishmael and Sarah W.  And I’m pretty sure that John H, Julia and Chloe all scored some cool gear for volunteering at the race.  Oh, and don’t forget alumni Pearl Law (top 10 in the 10Km), Neha Jammu and Nandini Chitale who all ran…and our own coach Matt Paquet who placed 4th overall in the 10Km!

I wish I’d seen all of you, and I’m sure there were others I’d have liked to have seen, too!

Maybe we need to bring along a canopy next year so we have a meeting place? 🙂

Congrats, everyone, I hope you had a great race and a great holiday–I did!
