Monta Vista alum Sunny Shan (2014), current Mt. Holyoke College student-athlete and a member of the 2013 Central Coast Section XC championship team, placed first in her age group in the Bay to Breakers road race on Sunday, May 17!
Bay to Breakers is a 12km road race with more than 50,000 runners! Sunny was in second place in her age group at the top of the infamous Hayes Street Hill, and afterwards ran down the leader while passing more than 400 runners in other divisions. Sunny finished with a 54.14 time for the race.
