Friday night update:
The following changes were made to the Event Entries list:
Steven Lim is now a Sophomore once again…contrary to rumors he was not held back 🙂
Josiah was added to the Varsity 400M race.
Kevin Siu was added to the Varsity 100M race.
(Nice, Josiah and Kevin…I like seeing the willingness to compete wherever and whenever you can!)
Risako will not be competing in the 1600M.
UPDATE:
Event entries are attached as a download below this posting.
Together with the schedule provided in the meet sheet, you should know your event. You are responsible for knowing when you are competing! There are 70 athletes signed up for over 100 competitions…your coaches cannot keep track of all of you. You have responsibility for being where you need to be, on time, next week!
Remember that rules will be strictly enforced next week: Uniform rules (no jewelry of any kind, only school issued shorts and singlets) and no electronics on the infield are two rules that dual meets sometimes let slide and you must adhere to at the league meet!
The people running the meet have worked hard, so be especially conscious of the volunteers and officials and thank them during the meet!
On unrelated topics…1. We are still interested in your surveys if you would like to turn them in to your coaches; 2. You can still vote for most inspirational boy and girl for the track team 2012; 3. Banquet is coming up, don’t forget to RSVP (and pay!); 4. Seniors, the coaches are interested in knowing where you are going to college next year if you would let us know!

Why are we calling this to your attention so early? To help you plan!
We know that this time of year is busy for many students–homework, tests, projects and now LEAGUES. Plus, Coach has arranged for the Olympic sports psych director to show up and talk on Tuesday night. How do you get everything done, PLUS get enough sleep?
You PLAN! Now you have the schedule. Figure out how to get on top of your homework all week and weekend and still get all the sleep you need. You can keep your grades up where they should be and still be ready to go for Leagues. You have worked hard all season, you owe it to yourself to do everything you can to compete as well as you can, without sacrificing any academics. You might have to sacrifice that Facebook update you want to post! But academics and sports…you can figure that out.
Go Matadors!
