“The most important thing I learned from running is that there is only one runner in this race, and that is me.”
~George Sheehan
Today is the day! First day of practice…I hope that all of you are as excited as I am.
We had a great week of pre-season, optional practices last week. Most days there were more than 40 athletes out running, and they got a nice start to our season; new runners learned many of the basic places that we run, got trained in warm up drills, met a lot of new people and probably got at least 20 to 25 miles of running. Good work, everyone!
Freshman–if you have not joined XC yet, it’s not too late. We know it takes time to figure out high school. If you hear about MVXC and want to join, come out this week and talk to the coaches. We want you! MVXC veterans, let’s bring in lots of freshmen to carry on our proud traditions. Let’s get off to a great start!
See you all today. Go MVXC16!
