If high school cross country success is earned in July and August, then the Monta Vista Cross Country team looks pretty good for 2012!
Sixteen Monta Vista athletes participated in the 39th Annual Dammit Run on Saturday, August 11th…a 5 mile race that is tougher than any cross race we will run this year! The magnificent 16 included not only runners who will be on the team in 2012…Monta Vista runners also included alumni and a Kennedy runner! How cool is that?
I’m hoping that this becomes a Monta Vista tradition…that recent graduates and other alumni like Nandini, Michael, Steven and Shivam continue to come back and get together to run Dammit before they head off/return to college!
As for MVXC 2012…you all have worked hard and you are in great condition! I can’t wait to start the season on Monday!
