UPDATE:
Coach Erica McLain competed in style last night, winning the triple jump at the Don Kirby Invitational in Albequerque (February 10). Coach flew 13.56m/44′-6″ to win handily. Congrats, coach–see you Monday at practice!

The MV track team can send some good wishes Coach Erica McLain’s way at 7:45pm tonight (8:45 in New Mexico), because that is when Coach McLain begins triple jump competition in the Don Kirby Elite Invitational in Albequerque, New Mexico. This is the biggest collegiate indoor meet prior to the NCAA championships (Coach McLain is competing on a post-collegiate basis as a member of the Nike team). And careful readers of the Invitational web site might see that the stadium record holder is…yup, you guessed it, Erica McLain, 46-01.5.
