CCS athletes–your time is coming near!
Here is a link to the CCS web site, giving location and time of all the events. To avoid being asked the question ‘so coach when is my event?’ here is the answer for this Saturday’s CCS semi-finals!
Arvind Rao 800M: 2:10
Jenny Xu and Kevin Bishop 3200M (girls run first): 4:10
Gokul Parakulum LJ: 2:00
4×400 Relay team Surafael, Bumpei, Michael and Arvind: 5:10
I think you should try to get to Gilroy about 2 hours before your race, maybe 1:30. This assumes you do not build in any additional cushion. Traffic and parking can back up and personally, I stress out if I’m sitting in 101 checking my watch while my event is getting closer and closer to now…
Everything you need to know is on the CCS web site:

Here are a few rules you should review:
WARM-UP: Athletes will warm up in the designated warm-up area on the northwest side of the stadium.
Athletes will not be allowed on the track prior to reporting to the Clerk-of-the-Course. Only athletes actually involved in competition will be allowed on the stadium field, and they must return to the stands upon completion of their event.
CALLS FOR EVENTS: Competitors must check in with the clerk of the course or field-event judge no later than 15 minutes prior to the published start time for that event. Any athlete not reporting on time will be scratched.
National Federation Uniform Rules will be strictly enforced. All athletes competing must wear their SCHOOL
ISSUED UNIFORM AND SWEATS AT ALL TIMES. No other uniform or clothing may be worn during warm-up,
competition or on the victory stand. Failure to do so could result in disqualification from an event.
As to how to move on from the semi-finals to the finals…here is the answer to that question.
