MVXC celebrated our 2011 season at our annual awards banquet last Thursday night at the Monta Vista cafeteria!
We had a great turn out of athletes and their families. After dinner (XC runners can really eat!) we acknowledged many individuals for their accomplishments. However, the real star of the evening was the TEAM–as a group, we achieved more than any single person could on their own. The individual runners helped the team, and the team helped the individuals excel. It was a great season, and we celebrated the season with a great evening!
In addition, parents got together and put made donations to the XC team…which totaled (as of this morning) $1,000!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you parents, for your generosity; and thank you for believing in and supporting your student-athletes!
