DAMAGED: We are still looking at some of the items that have been turned in. There is some more damage…we wish you had brought this to our attention in the first place. Coach Flatow, Mrs. Flatow and Mrs. Rao, together with Kevin and Ajay (thank you for your help, Kevin, Ajay and Mrs. Rao! You were lifesavers) were out in the sun on Wednesday to check uniforms back in after the season…41 team members remembered to bring their uniforms back, or had a friend drop their gear off, but it was a little frustrating because 38 athletes who could have brought their uniforms in did not (and 3 are missing some things). (There are also athletes who are still competing so they are off the hook.) So…Mrs. Flatow are going to have one more uniform return session, and fair warning, after that we will be issuing delinquency notices. Sorry about that but the year is almost over and we can’t keep hanging around waiting for the uniforms to come back! So last chance for return will be:

Sadly, the 2012 Track season is coming to an end…and that means we are gearing up for that seasonal adventure, uniform return!
Not everyone is done with track–we still have ~20 student-athletes running at SCVALs–but since it always takes more than one session (sigh) to get all our uniforms returned, Mrs. Flatow and I decided that we may as well accept it and get started! So…
Uniform Return #1:
When: Wednesday, May 9, 3:00 until kids stop showing up.
Where: Student Parking Lot, out in the corner where our ‘storage’ unit is, near the tennis courts along the fence away from the school (did you ever notice that old wheel-less trailer out there? That’s our storage unit! Sigh.)
What: Bring your CLEAN uniforms with you if your season is complete.
FAQ:
Q. Does my uniform have to be clean and washed?
A. Would you like to get a uniform that a 3200M runner ran finals in, put in a plastic bag, and stored in for a year? Ugh! Yea…please clean your uniform!
Q. Is there still practice on Wednesday?
A. Yes! There is still practice that day, there are people training for SCVALs, so even if you are done with track competition, you can drop off your uniform and head over to Kennedy and get in a workout!
Q. If I did not get a ‘new’ uniform do I still have to return the uniform I got?
A. Yes! By the way…we did order 20 additional uniforms! They arrived late in the season and we did not have time to get them all printed and distributed. Plus, we wanted a chance to see if we had to replace any more over the summer and we wanted one print run to save money. But we will be in better shape next year.
Q. Do you need help with the uniform return?
A. Yes please! We could use a few parents or students to help out with the return, just show up and help sort and fold.
Q. What happens if I don’t return my uniform?
A. If you have a new uniform, you will get a delinquency notice for $50 for each item. If you have an ‘old’ uniform, you will get a delinquency notice for $20 for each item not returned.
Q. What are these crazy numbers on my uniforms?
A. You were issued specific uniform numbers and that is what we want you to return.
Q. What if I’m still competing in SCVALs, CCS or State?
A. Way to go! We will give you another opportunity to return your uniform.
