Your coaches have decided that we will not be participating in the NorCal Frosh-Soph meet this year. We have found that many more athletes have potentially qualified for the Top 8 meet than Monta Vista has ever had, including many freshmen and sophomores. We think that many of these athletes would like the opportunity to compete at Top 8. So…we have decided to focus on Top 8 and have nominated as many athletes as possible to compete in Los Gatos. Top 8 is a prestigious meet (and Los Gatos is a lot closer than Dublin, so not only is this an easier location for the competitors, hopefully we can have more supporters come and cheer too).
Maybe next year we will give NorCal a try!
This could be a record-setting year for Monta Vista athletes competing at Top 8.
