Seeing so many Monta Vista cross-country runners out at the 2011 Silicon Valley Turkey Trot yesterday was very, very inspirational!  My rough count was 13 students, three parents, two MV journalists and two coaches, and I heard a couple ‘hey coach’ yells out on the course that I never identified…that’s pretty good for 7:50am on a holiday morning!  It’s pretty fun to get out and race or trot with a bunch of people who just love to run!

It was great for all of us to start the day being physically active, and also participate in an event that raises a lot of money every year for three Valley charities.

We always can find a lot to be thankful for if we think about all the gifts we have in life…I’m thankful that I’m part of a team of so many truly wonderful people, who also happen to be runners and athletes who enjoy our sport!

I hope you all had fun out at the race yesterday, and had a very nice race and a nice Thanksgiving too.  It made my day to see all of you!
