MVTF21 Awards Brunch…we have photos!

Sunday, May 30 saw Monta Vista track and field try something new…an awards brunch!  Everyone is sick of zoom, we wanted to be in person, it had to be outside so…we had a Sunday brunch right there on the track.

At 9am, athletes and families started to arrive and found games from spike ball to corn hole, giant jenga to oversized chess, set out on the field.  After some game time, smoothies and pastries and fruit arrived for brunch (along with coffee for Coach).  Awards followed, along with athlete presentations to the coaches (mad respect for the Hawaiian themed thrower group).  Sixty-three out of 67 of the athletes on the team were able to attend!

It was great to be able to get together and see each other as a rough year comes to a close.  

Thank you so much to Rita Au (aka Ellie’s mom) for leading the parent support effort–you made this look so easy!

Monta Vista track and field senior athletes kind of cleaned up in school wide awards…this is not a new thing to be honest.  Track and field athletes have a lot of grit that is recognized by others.  Year end awards presented by the school to graduating senior track and field athletes include:
