Monta Vista cross country completed it’s fourth week of summer training together, with two new cohorts.

After Cohort One wrapped up on July 11, MVXC started work with two new Cohorts on July 14 with a reshuffle and some new additions.  Coach Johnson and Coach Rebecca have Cohort Two and a 7:30am start time, and Coach Flatow is running with Cohort Three at 8:00am, Tuesdays through Saturdays.

The start times are staggered to increase spacing at the track and on the roads and trails.  Safety continues to be a theme for our training, with masks on at all times other than while running, an emphasis on social distancing, and (hopefully!) athletes that are being careful during the hours they are not at practice.  MVXC intends to demonstrate that cross-country training is not only safe, but it makes our student-athletes even safer.  We are supporting our team and our teammates by doing our best to avoid the COVID-19 virus not only at practice, but also in our lives.

Thanks to all the athletes taking part in this training cycle!  We will see you on the road.
