As Spring Break looms, MVTF has two track invitationals coming up fast.
On Saturday morning, we are making a quick visit to San Mateo High School for the Bearcat Invitational. We are only going to compete in a limited number of events. At 8:30am, Pranav Pata and Khang Pham will compete in the long jump. At 9am, the track events start, beginning with the 4x100m and continuing in a rolling schedule with the 1600m (Vivian Lau, Ellie, Upasana, Kyle, Justin, Pranav and Matthew; the high hurdles (Sean); the 400m (Reema, Ananya, and Sean); and the 100m (Reema, Pranav, Khang, Sarang, and Ethan). You must arrange your own transportation to San Mateo High School (506 N. Delaware Street, San Mateo, California). And do not be late or miss your event–Coach John is making a special trip so you can get these races in!
On Saturday afternoon, we will be competing at the Top 8 Invitational at Los Gatos High School. Here is a link to the schedule. If you are competing or planning to watch, ARRIVE EARLY. I cannot stress enough the importance of being at Los Gatos early. Parking is limited and traffic can back up, there are many ways to be delayed. So arrive early! Here is a list of all the accepted entries and there will be a program out soon on the Lynbrook site. Monta Vista has a number of athletes competing, and Top 8 is always an exciting event!
