Monta Vista track & field will host a cooking class at Whole Foods on Friday, April 5 at 5pm!

An important part of being an athlete is taking care of your body, and we are here to help!  Every high school athlete should be making healthy choices.  It helps you to know the basics of how to prepare a healthy meal.  Being able to cook a healthy, satisfying, well-rounded and tasty meal gives YOU the power to manage your own nutrition!

The focus of our class on April 5 will be KNIFE SKILLS.  We found at our first class last Fall, it is very helpful to know how to handle a knife safely and efficiently.  So we are going to start our class on April 5 by learning how to slice, cut and chop various vegetables.  After we work on knife skills together, we will break into two groups:  One group will prepare a salad, and another group a veggie soup, and then we will get together and eat everything family style!

The cost per person will be $15; the link to sign up and pay is below.

There will be a class size limit of 30.
